AAVF and Syng are proud to present a sample of the vast variety of great choirs and vocal groups in Aarhus. The Pre-Festival is put on in collaboration with Syng and is a stand-alone one-day festival. There will be two stages in Ridehuset, and therefore we can present a large variety of groups.

    • Eleanor Forbes Singing Teacher and Vocal Coach Naja Månsson Singing Teacher and Vocal Coach EVTA began offering International Choral Festivals a ‘drop-in’ facility for singers and conductors concerned with healthy voice use and care of the singing voice at Europa Cantat in Tallinn in 2018. Sadly our plans to be part of the World Choir Games in Belgium in 2020 and 2021 were prevented by the pandemic. EVTA are delighted to be part of the Aarhus Vocal Festival in 2022 and once again we will be offering specialist advice, ‘ten-tips’ for optimum singing, rehearsal stamina and vocal health for all ages.

    • HUMAN TRANSFORMATIONS CONCERT Concert AAVF June 5th 2022 at 12.30, Lille sal, Musikhuset Aarhus The concert Human Transformations presents 10 new choral works written by international and Danish Students from the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus/Aalborg. Coming from 7 different countries, from Israel to Faroe Islands, the students have collaborated composing new vocal music written directly for the voice and the "instrument" choir/vocal group. Along with the guest groups: SONO, Maestra, Airo and Voice Event, the students themselves will perform their works. The concert is a part of an artistic and pedagogical research project (FOKU) "The Composing Conductor" led by assistant prof. Malene Rigtrup at the Royal Academy of Music. Welcome to a concert with new, original choir music!
