Christian Fris-Ronsfeld is the artistic director of the Danish girls choir
Mariagerfjord Pigekor and Mariagerfjord Choir School, which is one
of the most remarkable schools for contemporary music in Europe,
consisting of 16 choirs primarily focusing on children and youth choirs.

He has been conducting the award-winning choirs Syng Selected and Naura. Christian is frequently invited as a conductor and jury member by festivals, competitions and
choir events (such as Europa Cantat, Europa Cantat Junior, Deutscher Chorwettbewerb and Choralies) in Europe and USA. His choir arrangements are sung by
groups all over Europe and published by Schott and Helbling edition. 

He is a board member of Aarhus Vocal Festival (AAVF).
Christian has a Master’s degree in rhythmic choir leading, pop/jazz singing and ear training from the Royal Academy of Music in
Aarhus/Aalborg and a Master’s degree in music education from the University of Music in Freiburg.

    Open Singing: Co-Creative Pop Start your Aarhus Vocal Festival experience with singing in a huge choir and feel the power of sweet melodies and heartwarming harmonies. Be a part of a co-creative process where your voice will meet an orchestra of emotional landscapes. You will sing some amazing vocal arrangements in which there will be parts of music of the moment and co-creative elements. The theme of Aarhus Vocal Festival 2024 is “Creation” and we cannot wait to let you feel the magic of this uniting experience and kick-start the festival 2024.

    In the Sing It Out Loud workshops the main goal is to do just that; Sing It Out Loud! The center of the workshop is some catchy arrangements that is guaranteed to stick to you all day. Did you ever dream of standing like a hero on the rock and filling the whole universe with your sound? Do you want to experience how it feels, when the choir sound and vibrations in the room are streaming through every inch of your body and give you tons of goosebumps? Congratulations! This workshop is the right place for you ☺ We will work on 1-2 arrangements that have focus on epic melodies, that you really can sing out loud with your full body. The room will be filled with high energy, powerful sound and body movement and joyful smiles. In this workshop we will also work on performance techniques to get the right expression into the music and body language. Having said all that, remember that it's primarily about having fun singing.
