Born in Scotland and living in Germany, Eleanor’s experience as a performer has spanned opera, oratorio, recitals, chamber music and choral music as well as voice-over work, and her repertoire is wide and varied, covering several different vocal genres. Her teaching career of over 35 years has involved working with jazz, pop and musical theatre performers as well as classical singers and actors. Among her former students are members of prizewinning a cappella groups (ONAIR, Maybebop, Niniwe, Wortart Ensemble, Blended). She also enjoys working with choirs and small groups. She has taught for many years at university level and was appointed honorary professor by the Jazz Institute Berlin in 2010. Her teaching uses elements from many different sources, including Estill Voice Training (EMT with Service Distinction). She currently serves on the board of the European Voice Teachers Association (EVTA).
