Lene Høst is an award winning composer, singer and vocal leader. She holds a bachelor’s degree in folk singing from the Danish National Academy of Music, and a master’s degree in pop/jazz-singing and vocal leadership from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. Currently she is studying at the Contemporary Creative Artist soloist program.
Her passion lies in conveying the power of traditional vocal music to singers as well as audiences, and she is recognized for her innovative choral arrangements and inspiring teaching. Lene performs with the vocal group HØST, the trio Vingefang and leads the choir ROOTS; merging traditional music and the roots genre with modern choral leadership. Since 2018 she has been working as both an educator and leader of the conservatory’s folk music program in Denmark.
