Pianist, Body percussionist, vocalist, compositor, founder and artistic director of Humanophones.
Passionated pianist, trained and graduated by the Royal School of England of classical Music, jazz and improvised music. Also formed in acoustic scientific studies.
He was a disciple of Leon Parker, iconic 90s drummer of New-York. Rémi introspectively sought his personal approach to body music establishing bridges between the dancing body and the musician body. On his return from New York, he creates with Tioneb (Human beat boxer/ Loop Station World Championship winner ) an innovative duo HUMAN PLAYER.
As a pianist & keyboardist he plays today for a tribute to Herbie Hancock. In 2013, he founded the Cie des Humanophones with the idea of exploring a musical language by integrating the body, the art of voice and dance. He brings together vocalist singers and body percussionists to developpe shows as THE HEGDEHOG’S DILEMMA – a musical physical theater duo, CORPUS, ANTROPUS – anatomical concerts, AKA FREE VOICES OF FOREST – a collaboration with pygmees from Congo-Brazzaville and I WANT YOU BACH – an acapella concert around JS BACH revisited. HUMANOPHONES play around Europe (France, Germany, Luxembourg, Finland, Switzerland, Austria…)
