Mpendulo Sipho Mhlanga aged 26; known as Yamisava is a musician born and bread in Pimville Soweto a township on the south of Johannesburg, South Africa. During his time working as a music practioner Yamisava has worked with a number of artist as a background singer inicuding the legendary Simphiwe Dana amongst others.
With is slogan “Owning Black” Yamisava offers a catalogue that aims to shine light on the beatuty of african culture and diversity, in music, fashion and lifestyle. With his music an experiment of traditional african indegenous music, sounds and instruments; audiences are sure to have an experience of an africa reimagined. He refers to his brand and music as an expression of africa showing up to the world today.
The brand seeks to explore the existence and the space that africa has in the entertainment world today. He believes that Africa has something unique to offer to the world something more than just talent and music but a footprint in how certain kind of music in the world market is made.
