Tine Ohrt Højgaard holds a master in rythmic choral conducting from the University of Aalborg, Denmark. She is a singer and arranger in the vocalgroup Vox11 and a quartet of women called Kalla with whom she does collaborative arranging of songs from the danish songbook Højskolesangbogen. For 20 years she was the conductor, singer and arranger of the prizewinning vocalgroup SONO, with whom she has released four albums, Can´t help it, Playground, SONOrdic and Vocal Christmas.
Tine Ohrt Højgaard has 25 years of experience in teaching singing, performance, vocal improvisation, arranging and choral conducting on all levels. Today she teaches rhythmic choral conducting at the University of Aalborg and works as a choir consultant with the danish national church. Other than that Tine Ohrt Højgaard does choir workshops for both children and adults, and is known as an energetic and dynamic conductor who emphasizes musical playing and physicality in the musical expression.
