Thank you for an amazing EAAVF 2021

We did it! We tried something new and created connections in a time of isolation. We broke the silence, reached out and we felt the music float through us again, from our big global vocal community. ❤️. This was only possible because there were so many people who shared this dream. There are so many people we would like to thank:

Thanks to the artists who contributed with their music, wisdom and know how. We are so proud and honoured that you were willing to share your talent, your beautiful voices and your experience with us and all the participants. We hope that you felt the love from all of us and that you could feel just HOW MUCH the vocal family miss seeing you live on stage and meeting you for workshops and coachings. Thanks for taking the time and energy for being part of eAAVF and for hanging in there until we can meet again. 🎶

Thanks to all the choir organisations and festivals for taking the time and energy to make interviews with us and make videos for all of us, so we can all get a feeling of just HOW MANY people around the world who love to sing and we can get inspired to join new a cappella hubs from near and far and learn from each other.

Thanks to our partner RAMA Vocal Center and to our sponsors the City of Aarhus, the city of Aalborg, Korsangernes Fællesråd, Flexminds, SYNG and Kor72 for putting their muscles into the project and providing the foundation and framework for our greenhouse. 🌱

Highlights from Friday Workshops at RAMA Vocal Center

On Friday we had 4 amazing workshops at RAMA Vocal Center in Aalborg: Peder Karlsson was Playing it by Voice, Jesper Holm was teaching us the Conductors Tools, Malene Rigtrup was giving us wonderful examples of RAMA students original music and arrangements while Jim Daus Hjernøe was teaching us the VOPA system of communication! Thank you to everyone who participated!

What is eAAVF Aarhus Online Vocal Festival 2021?

AAVF is collaborating with RAMA Vocal Centre in hosting a 2 day event with concerts, talks, hybrid-workshops and webinars, that can unite our local vocal institutions with the global players in mutual artistic and pedagogical inspiration. A big thanks goes out to the City of Aarhus and SYNG for supporting our free online festival!

Reaching Out is an action – the action of extending your hand! However reaching out can mean more than one thing. It can be as simple as getting in touch with someone. It is sometimes associated with the offering of one’s help, assistance etc. or in the act of asking for the very same. With eAAVF “Reaching Out” we want to do all of the above! We are reaching out to you – inviting you to join us in re-connecting what may this past year have been dis-connected regarding the scene and the practice of rhythmic vocal music. And we are asking you to help us keep the spirit of AAVF alive, while preparing for the return of our traditional festival in 2022.
